I remember once over hearing a someone say to a pregnant woman that she looked lovely, and really had "the glow".

I had to laugh when the pregnant lady replied, "of course I'm glowing - this kid is making everything seep out through my pores!"

Wether you feel like you're "seeping" or not :) isn't pregnancy just the most amazing thing.

Hello my poor neglected blog :)

I'm afraid life took over this past little while and keeping up with posting recent sessions really got the better of me!

It has been a year to remember, that's for sure. I have met so many beautiful babies and their families through our Tiny Tots sessions; many of whom now feel like friends. The books have been collected and the feedback from clients has been amazing. Thank you so much to all the families that participated, donating their time and money to support Foundation - it has been a pleasure.

We are now booked through to the end of February 2009. Our apologies to clients that have enquired recently about Christmas sessions - unfortunately, we book very early for this time of year. Please contact us asap if you would like to confirm your session for March 2009. Places fill quickly as session times are conducted around the needs of our own young family.

If you wish to book a maternity or newborn session, please contact us asap as we do everything we can to fit you in.

Two thousand and nine has a lot of things in store for InHouse, including updated website and blogs, an exciting new service we have in the works (more on that later!) and best of all, lots of new pictures :)

These guys took me to one of their favourite hang outs on the other side of town, the Rocks Riverside Park.

I think I have it figured....there were lots of rocks and it was by the river so I'm guessing that's where they got inspiration for the name :-) :-) It's on an old quarry site with lots of historical machinery bits, hills of gravel, parks and open spaces - a bit of everything really!

That's where I got to have fun shooting these three handsome boys this afternoon!

It's at the family's block where they're planning to build - one afternoon there and I wanted to move there myself! Six acres of trees, ferns and grass or as the boys would more quickly point out - places to ride the quad and motor bikes :-) And did I mention the water is right across the road?

Lucky they also have a big boat.

I wonder how many other wives can relate to this: One afternoon the boy's dad went out to supposedly buy a canoe for their lovely mum. He came home with the boat that's in a couple of the pictures. As you can probably tell - that ain't no canoe :-)

As I am wife to a man that's rather inclined to "sudden upgrades", I was completely understanding on that one!

Trash the Dress!

"trash the what?" as most people would say!

Trash the Dress is a relatively new concept here but dress trashing sessions have been going on overseas for a while now. So what is it exactly?

It's a session in your wedding dress and we....well....trash it! The idea behind trashing the dress is that 99.9% of wedding dresses go into their dry cleaning box and never see the light of day again. Lets face it, the likelyhood of your daughter wearing it is slim, you're never going to make it shorter and wear it again (think 27 Dresses if you've seen the movie!) and you have photos of it looking glamourous from your wedding to look back on. So why keep it collecting dust and turning yellow in a box? You're married, you're in it for the long run, so why not show the ultimate commitment to your husband by trashing the dress!

The level of trashing is completely up to you, but the idea is to go out and get some awesome images of you doing things you never would have considered doing in it on your wedding day. Think lying in the dirt, getting it wet or just sitting around like you would on a normal day...but in your dress :-)

It's awesome fun and you'll get some gorgeous images as a gift for your husband for his birthday or your next anniversary - cool huh?

Does anyone else ever have the feeling that after you sent an email you want to ring people and say "did you get my email?" :-)

Well I often feel that way and even more so tonight.

It has been made known to us that emails sent to us via the contact form on the InHouse website recently were not being delivered. If you have emailed InHouse recently and did not hear a reply, I am so very very sorry. We have been in contact with our hosting company and they have assured us they have fixed the problem so please re-send and you should hear from me as soon as possible. If you don't, rest assured it could only be because they are still having problems and not because I have ignored your email!!

Our first advertising for Tiny Tots went out last Wednesday (click on the ad to make it bigger if you want to have a squiz) and the response has already been overwhelming! Natural Baby Expo

If you are in Brisbane and haven't heard - the Natural Baby Expo is on this weekend, the 15th and 16th of September at the RNA Show Grounds.

I recently entered an photo I took of my daughter, Cassidy, into the Smile with Centro Competetition! I'm very proud to say I ( or we rather!) won the prize in for our local area :-)

I was contacted by a couple of the local rags for "the story" behind the photograph...well unless chasing after your children with bribes in hand to take a picture is a story, unfortunately there isn't one!!
